The countdown has begun for Give Greater Allen County!

Join us, in partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne, for an exciting 12-hour day of giving starting at 7 am next Thursday, April 20th.

On this special day, we invite you to be a part of creating positive change for so many people. Our programming is all about breaking down barriers in order to empower all people to thrive. We help survivors and anyone who has faced violence by offering culturally affirming, safe, and free support and advocacy services.

Your contribution is essential for us to continue this important work. Together, we can make a real difference in our communities! Here are a few ways you can get involved in next week’s special day of generosity:

Help us spread the word! Send this blog post or our social media posts to your friends, family, and colleagues. Let them know why you’re supporting the Center for Nonviolence and ask them if they will donate and share too.

During Give Greater Allen County it is easier than ever to set up your own unique fundraising page. Simply visit our donation page and click on “Fundraise” OR send us an email saying that you are interested in learning more about how to become a peer-to-peer fundraiser.

All day, next Thursday, there will be special giving challenges and matching opportunities so that your gift can go further.

Thank you!

Center Updates

Announcement:

We are thrilled to share that after many years of advocating for a specialized domestic violence court in Allen County, we are a part of the planning team for the new DV court. It is an honor to work alongside other stakeholders under the expert guidance and leadership of Judge Morgan. This marks the beginning of a survivor-centered, community-coordinated response to domestic and family violence that our judicial system has needed. Learn more.

In Solidarity:

We are devastated by the loss of gender-affirming healthcare for minors in Indiana with the recent signing into law of Senate Bill 480. We remain committed to supporting and advocating for the rights of all individuals, regardless of their age, gender, or sexuality. We believe everyone has the right to make their own decisions about their bodies and their lives, without fear of discrimination or persecution. Read more.

Many Thanks:

We are bursting with gratitude for the amazing support from Mancino's on Coliseum! Your generous donation of several pizzas and discounted rates for more made our FACES Nonviolent Leadership graduation parties unforgettable. This was our first time working with you and we were blown away by your kindness and care.

And to everyone who donated, THANK YOU! Your generosity exceeded our fundraising goal and allowed us to not only afford the pizzas but also cupcakes for the parties. Your support empowers and encourages our young leaders and we couldn't be more grateful. Together, we made these parties an absolute success!
