Let’s Discuss: Human Trafficking

In honor of January being Human Trafficking Prevention Month, a few Center for Nonviolence staff sat down in this 15-minute video to process the intersections of domestic violence and human trafficking. Elisiana Diaz-Martin (she/her) starts the conversation with Elka Jackson (she/they) and Rebecca Parker (she/her) by reflecting on a recent Crime Junkie Podcast titled MISSING: Natanalie “Naty” Perez she had listened to.

A conversation ensues discussing the covert ways human traffickers use tactics of domestic and interpersonal violence to gain control over their victims and where survivors of these situations can find help. We invite you to listen to the full session below.

If you or someone you know is experiencing any types of violence discussed in this video, call us at (260) 456-4112, email us at support@centerfornv.org, or stop by our office located at 235 W. Creighton Ave. Fort Wayne, IN and we'll connect you with an advocate.
